To run the Android 7.1 operating system, the Tab 4 8 Plus is armed with a 2.0 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 octa-core system-on-chip and 2GB of RAM. With this SoC, a Qualcomm Adreno 506 graphics chipset is used to deliver smooth, detailed visuals to the 8" IPS display, which offers a native resolution of 1920 x 1200 and wide-viewing angles. The 8" touchscreen supports 10-point multi-touch features and has a maximum brightness level of 390 cd/m². Lenovo lets you connect the Tab 4 8 Plus online in many ways by outfitting it with 802.11ac Wi-Fi (MU-MIMO supported) as well as 4G LTE technology, which requires a separately available cellular data plan. The tablet comes with two SIM slots and accepts nano-sized SIM cards. Other notable connectivity features include Bluetooth 4.1 + LE along with a combo audio jack and USB Type-C port, which sports a reversible design for connecting the included USB-C cable on the first try. There's also a built-in FM tuner for tuning into local radio stations.

Aside from connectivity, the Tab 4 8 Plus is equipped with a 5MP front-facing camera and 8MP rear camera for conducting face-to-face conversations and capturing the environment, respectively. To complete the video conferencing experience, a microphone along with two front-facing speakers are on board. For storing images, videos, and apps, the tablet provides 16 GB of internal storage and a built-in microSD card slot that can accommodate user-supplied memory cards up to 128GB in capacity. Moreover, an integrated fingerprint sensor allows you to quickly unlock the tablet and make app purchases without typing your password.

    Lenovo ZA2H0000US reviews

    8" Tab 4 8 Plus 16GB Tablet (Wi-Fi/LTE, Slate Black) is rated 3.5 out of 5 by 19.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fast and Easy to insert cards I have had the device a few days now and have found it to be as fast and responsive as the hardware specs would lead one to expect. Also, inserting the SD card was easy once I looked closely at the setup. Unlike other tablets that use a small slot. This device uses a small metal drawer with the positions of the SD and SIM cards outlined clearly. The SD card was recognized immediately. I'm not using the LTE function, so I left the SIM card area empty. The device will ask for a SIM card, but you just need to swipe past that notification. Finally...this is my first B&H purchase. Great prices and fast shipping.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Disappointing specs on US version Poor performance in stripped down model made for US market. If some people want to buy this model that's fine but we should also be given the option to buy the 4GB RAM and 64GB version available to other countries. I would call this model a Tab 4 8 MINUS!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Tablet, but... This is a preliminary review, but I want to warn potential buyers about a couple of things that have nothing to do with B&H great prices and service. First, the tablet is as light and fast as you would expect given the specs. However, it definitely assumes you're going to use LTE connectivity. The micro SD card and Nano SIM go in a single slot. I just wanted a Tab 4 8 Plus, and this was the only model I could find, but I had to order a Nano SIM as a placeholder. Also, postings on Lenovo forums indicate that there might be a firmware issue the affects SD cards. Worst case scenario: I have a really fast tablet with 16GB of memory. I will update this review once I see how the insertion of the cards goes, but I know people might be shopping for the holidays.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Supprisingly good. I bought this a few weeks ago and was replacing an old 8 inch tablet (Atom processor, zzzlow). Was worried about entry level RAM and storage, but I only use the tablet for reading news at night and it works surprisingly well, as in fast and agile (8 cores help). I'm glad that this unit doesn't have the glass back, makes it harder to hold and add weight. Could maybe have been a bit cheaper to reflect the specs, but like the overall package and would buy it again. Btw, I checked pretty much every other 8 inch tablets out there (as of Sep 2017), this is by far have the best mix, for me at least.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worthy replacement for my Nexus 7 It is hard to find an Android tablet today in a smaller form factor that has a screen resolution comparable to the 2013 Nexus 7, so I was pleased to find this one. I purchased this tablet primarily to use with my Mavic Pro drone, but have found myself using it for everyday use (browsing, online video, etc). My only complaint is that I would prefer more internal storage. Half of the 16GB provided is used by system files, and I am not comfortable with relying on a micro SD card for app installation. Having said that, I am pleased with the performance of the screen and speakers, and the processor seems fast enough for my needs.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Okay...if you only want a 16gb tablet Bought this being a Lenovo fan. You cant beat the features for the price. I had it for less then three days before returning it. If you want a 16gb tablet with no accessory support this is it. The lenovo assistant and kids pack couldn't be found anywhere to purchase. The case is out of stock. I bought a microsd hoping to have a 128gb tablet. The tablet constantly corrupted it (search online its an issue with every tab 4). Also the screen scrolls a lot slower than anything touch screen Ive ever had. The display is okay but Id consider it less quality than my ipad1 I was planning on replacing. It would have issues operating with only a few apps open at a time before it started lagging and slowly functioning. If it wasnt for the lack of accessories and the sd card corruption issues I would have kept it. But ill just go elsewhere for something more reliable even if it costs double the price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good quality on good price With latest Android and the upgraded screen and processor, everything runs smoothly. I actually don't need the 4G (through a simcard) and the fingerprint reader, but they are there as features

Rated 1 out of 5 by from SD card causes too many problems I bought this to read pdfs from work, Zinio for Libraries, and PressReader. Unfortunately, my tablet seems to lose the micro SD card card and my apps crash as a result. Looking on the internet, it would seem that I'm not the only one with this problem. I really cannot recommend the Tab 4 8 Plus and strongly suggest potential buyers to look at another tablet/manufacturer.
