Best Accessory For AD200

AD200's are versatile and dependable. They're not great balancing full sunlight. AD-B2 to the rescue. Combine two AD200's with this device!

I like, except for...

I really like this bracket, it can be used with either one or two AD200s, have Bowens mount, and makes use of the bare-bulb tubes. It also works with one or two the the EC200 extension cables to shift the center of balance to a lower position. There is also a built-in umbrella holder. The improvement I'd make, I would like a better tilt clamp handle and a smoother tilt adjustment rather than the ratcheting action.

Double Your AD200 Power

When using HSS outdoors, this unit gives me the peace of mind that I won't have to change location because of a lack of flash power. HSS eats power (and batteries). Should I anticipate needing it at the start of a shoot, or having to switch from using one AD200 to doubling up with two, I can do it with minimal effort and time wasted. It still accepts the Bowens-style adapter ring that I use on the S2 bracket.

Great Bowens mount!

Fantastic Bowens mount to convert my AD200Pro into a softbox or beauty dish. One downside is the lack of an umbrella hole, but not a huge deal. Also, great construction of the actual head, but the plastic handle worries me sometimes when I'm cranking down on it. No issues thus far though.

Great Modeling light

I have been using the Godox AD 200 Pro for a some time. I'm happy with the lights but disappointed with the modeling light. The bracket solves the problem and gets rid of the big pupils that result from strobes. You will need an extra battery for a long shoot.

I Never Give 5-Star Reviews

This is an exception. Somewhere, someone thought to improve the versatility of the AD200 line of portable flash units. I've had to use this unit to combine two AD200's in their bare-bulb configuration to double (or less) the power to overcome a logistical situation at augment the power output. I always pack this thing! Yes, it takes extra time to put together. Yes, it adds space and weight to your location loadout. But if you've ever needed that extra stop, for whatever reason, this product is an inexpensive addition to one's gear. Highly recommended.

Such a handy tool!

Such a handy tool to have to gang up two ad200 heads. I do studio shoots about 12 times a year Where I am always short one Profoto head and I have to rent one to fill out my kit which has become tedious over the years with having to pick it up and return it. And buying a Profoto head at this stage of the game is out of the question ($$$!) Hoping this will solve that problem. With 400ws of power now (and a reflector I also purchased) I believe this unit will hold its own for my studio needs.
