Gefen GTV-HDMI-2 Overview

The GefenTV HDMI to HDMI Plus Audio Converter is a product that takes a high-definition source using HDMI and outputs it to an HDTV display using HDMI and, in addition, up to 8-channel of LPCM audio output through eight RCA connectors. Bitstream is output to an optical digital connector.
Additional features include switchable audio selections between auto mode and manual mode affording further selection between two-channel audio, multi-channel bitstream and 7.1 LPCM audio.

Works like a charm decoding recent Dolby signals for my pre-HDMI Bose Lifestyle 18. Working with Roku and XBox Series X. I had a signal splitter to take the audio from the HDMI to optical on Bose but Bose kept crashing on current Dolby regardless of audio settings on whatever I plugged in.

If this unit is feed a signal from a multi Channel BluRay, will it output 2 channel analogue through the 7.1 L-R RCA Outputs?

If the signal is an HDMI, it will deembed the audio and send it out on the RCA.
