Combining two popular photo and video mounts in one compact unit, ProMediaGear presents the PXM1 HYBRID Manfrotto-Type RC2 and Arca-Type Quick Release Plate for DSLRs. It slides easily into RC2 and Arca-type clamps for mounting onto tripods, and features a sliding 1/4"-20 screw in a slot in the middle. Additionally, the PXM1 is compatible with ProMediaGear's SS2 Quick Release Strap Adapter. The American-made plate is designed by photographers and CNC machined in Illinois.

Most of my tripods are of the Manfrotto-type quick release, but this comes in handy when I need to use an Arca-type rail, or small tabletop tripod, etc. This is the only hybrid plate I've seen.
This is a nice little Arca Swiss QR plate, but note that the screw slot provides horizontal adjustment, not longitudinal. However, the PXM1 completely failed to work as an RC2-compatible QR plate on Manfrotto 701RC2 & 391RC2 heads. While it is the same width and thickness as a Manfrotto RC2 plate, it is not long enough to rest properly on the bottom edges of the QR well in these Manfrotto heads. While it does fit inside the well, it rattles around and cannot be securely tightened to the head.
