All of the M.2 slots support NVME PCIe 3.0 x4 and SATA storage devices, while two of the M.2 slots support devices with 2242/2260/2280 form factor, and the remaining M.2 slot supports devices with a 2242/2260/2280/22110 form factor. When using SATA storage devices, RAID 0, 1, and 10 are supported.
There is also one USB 3.1 Type-C port, one USB 3.1 Type-A port, eight USB 3.0 Type-A ports, and two USB 2.0 Type-A ports, all at the back panel, as well as one USB 3.1 Type-C port, four USB 3.0 ports, and four USB 2.0 ports, all internal. The X399 Gaming Pro Carbon AC does not contain any support for integrated graphics, meaning that users will need to purchase a compatible dedicated GPU of their choice. Once that GPU is installed, multi-GPU output is supported, with 4-Way NVIDIA SLI technology and 4-Way AMD CrossFire technology. Using the Realtek ALC1220 7.1-Channel HD audio codec, this motherboard delivers audio with high fidelity, which can be output using the five integrated audio jacks or one S/PDIF output.
