Tannoy 6" Full-Range Ceiling Loudspeaker with Dual-Concentric Driver (Blind Mount, Pair)

This pair of 6" Full-Range Ceiling Loudspeakers from Tannoy includes two full-bandwidth, high-power handling, and high-sensitivity loudspeakers built around Tannoy's CMS 3.0 Ceiling Monitor System technology. Based on a dual-concentric point-source driver, these blind-mount installation speaker delivers wide and consistent broadband directivity, intelligibility, and an accurate and linear response.

The dual-concentric driver design features Omnimagnet technology and the Torus Ogive Waveguide device, together providing consistent and controlled directivity along with improved high-frequency response. Time alignment and coherence between low and high frequencies enhances performance both on- and off-axis. The baffle provides a subtle extension to the wave-guide effect for additional sonic benefits.

The loudspeaker also features extra clamp extension to accommodate thicker ceiling panels, and a locking design that prevents inadvertent over-screwing. The magnetic grille attachment enables easy removal and fitting for custom painting. The speaker utilizes a 16-Ohm driver, making it ideal for use in high-performance, low-impedance systems. A low insertion-loss 60W transformer is included, with convenient front switching for taps at 60W, 30W, and 15W, with an additional 7.5W tap for traditional constant voltage systems.

Each speaker is supplied with an integral backcan, ready to install as a single unit. The removable locking connector has screw terminals for secure wire termination and loop-thru facility. Strain relief is provided by a clamping mechanism for use with a plenum-rated cable or conduit, while the spring-loaded and self-aligning clamps make for quick and easy installation. Each loudspeaker is supplied with a grille, two tile support rails, and a C-ring.
