The Medium LiteDome (24 x 32 x 17") consistently delivers even, natural light from your strobe unit. Its internal diffusion baffle eliminates extreme highlights and hotspots. The internal baffle and diffusion face are each easily removed, allowing you to go from soft, diffused lighting to high-contrast without changing your setup.

The patented Quick Release Corners (QRC) make setup and teardown a snap. LiteDome softboxes are compatible with optional grids, giving you great control over light direction. Loop hooks are sewn into the outside of the dome to allow for hanging the softbox from above using a block and tackle.

  • Removable face allows you to adjust the natural, soft light to create just the right diffusion and contrast
  • Softens the light source and eliminates the hot spot
  • Suspension loops hang the softbox without a boom
  • Optional grids attach to the face to create different effects
  • Carry bag included for easy storage and transport
  • Quick Release Corners (QRC) for easy removal of rods

Rated 3 out of 5 by from easy to use throws a nice light I am doing this review objectively starting with 5 stars the deducting for a few flaws ....This SB is under $100 and is very good value for money with the light it produces, it is lightweight and it stores very easily....The things I don't like, The material does not cover the speedring completely (you get some light exiting here, the speedrings are expensive and the Alloy on the ends of the rods can bend/crimp very easily where the go into the holes on the speedring, I assembled mine as per the instructions and they bent while pulling the cover over the rods.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from high quality softbox I bought this softbox for use with small speedlites, my 580ex and 430exand I'm glad I did. The results are quite nice, with a uniform spread of light when I zoom the speedlite's head out to 24mm or even 14mm with the built in diffuser. At first, it was awkward to set up. After practicing a few times, it becomes very simple. I now get the entire rig up and on a light stand in under two minutes. Quality materials and craftsmanship are what attracted me to this brand. I own a few of their products and everything is very sturdy and professional-looking. I'll continue to buy their products because I think they provide a good value/quality.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Pretty Good Product Good size and dimensions for a medium sized softbox. The construction is perfectly acceptable but certainly could be better. If it were made from the same materials as their 7' octabox it would probably be slightly heavier but I could handle the trade off for durability. The small clips that fasten the internal diffuser to the softbox are a pain. They're fiddly and take too long to clip on. Velcro would've been better It's very efficient though, with an even distribution of light. It does it's job well and at the end of the day that's really what matters most.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great studio softboxes I own 6 litedomes in various sizes and plan to purchase another in medium. They are well built, soft, even, and allow much better control of light spill than umbrellas. I use a small for a main, large for a fill, x-small on a hair light and 2 mediums to light a chromakey background. I also have another small Litedome I use for a rim or veil light. I use umbrellas on location, I have tried Westcott Apollos, and a few off brands, but I will stick with the Litedomes in the studio.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works well; seems like a good value. This is my first softbox so I can't really compare it to others. I've had good results so far with my AlienBees B800 as a main light for studio shots of my 1yr old and 3yr old. The construction is solid and seems like it will last a while. The only negative is that the velcro holding the front diffusion panel could be a little stickier (it takes some work to get it properly attached all the way around).

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good for Portraits, less so for stillife Purchased two of these for use with a dynalite setup on a tabletop still-life shoot. While the boxes are well-made and provide extremely even illumination, the exterior white panel is too small to velcro right up to the edge, meaning you'll get black frame reflections around your light in any shiny objects. Obviously, this is only a problem if you're shooting smooth rounded shiny objects, but it was a bit of a pain for me- I assumed that because the box has velcro all the way to the edge, I could reposition the front diffuser anywhere in that area. Still, I use them a lot, they're great for portraits, where the black edge reduces flare and gives a smoother cutoff, and they're small enough to pack easily, but they just weren't the best tool for this particular job.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from This is my second This is my standard softbox, if I had a standard. Well, until the umbrella softboxes came along. I use it for a lot of my work both in editorial and advertising mostly indoors because of its unobtrusive size. PhotoFlex is less expensive but I have had better luck (long-lasting) with them than the more expensive competitors.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love it! I shoot everything. This softbox gets used as outdoor fill with ambient and as a key light indoors. Usually with a Vivitar 285. Easy setup and takedown, fairly well made. Quality of light is great, inner baffle diffuser softens light wonderfully. Only negative is that the grid is almost the price of the softbox.
