High-Power Amp

The R-N303 utilizes a high-power amp featuring a single push-pull and discrete configuration, delivering a maximum output of 140W per channel at 8 Ohms. Its low-impedance design helps maximize the lengths of the audio signal paths, while placing the power supply unit near the amp unit to help reduce energy loss, for enhanced sound reproduction with most speakers.

Low-Noise Circuitry Design

The R-N303 features circuitry designed to prioritize sound quality by dividing the analog and digital sections into separate blocks for low noise and an augmented S/N ratio.

Engineered for High Resolution

The R-N303 is compatible with high-resolution sound sources, such as DSD 5.6 MHz native and AIFF, WAV, FLAC 192 kHz/24-bit, as well as Apple Lossless 96 kHz/24-bit files. It uses a Burr-Brown 192 kHz/24-bit DAC to deliver enhanced S/N performance.

Low-Jitter Network Module

The network module contains a clock designed for high-precision, low-jitter performance to help improve the reproduction of high-resolution sound sources. Pure audio clock generation without an added jitter from the clock generator helps lower the creation of jitter noise when playing network and Bluetooth sources for further S/N enhancement.

Enjoy All Your Music Sources

The R-N303 lets you enjoy music from CD players and turntables, and it can play music you have stored on your computer or NAS (network-attached storage). You can also play music wirelessly from smartphones or tablets using Bluetooth or AirPlay, as well as a variety of music from streaming services and AM/FM radio.

MusicCast Expands Entertainment Possibilities

MusicCast can stream digital music content from your smartphone, PC, or NAS to other MusicCast devices in your home using your existing network. It can also share the music from external devices such as a CD player or TV connected to the R-N303. Audio content from Bluetooth-connected smartphones or tablets can also be streamed to MusicCast devices in multiple rooms.

Digital Audio Input for TV or Blu-ray Players

The R-N303 is equipped for digital audio with both optical and coaxial inputs. The optical is for receiving audio from a display, and the coaxial is for receiving audio from a Blu-ray player. The audio stays in the digital domain, helping to provide pure dynamic sound for all your entertainment sources.

Fingertip Control

Tap, swipe, and control your music with the free MusicCast app, which can also control other optional MusicCast devices.

Vinyl-Ready

Enjoy playback of your vinyl records by plugging your turntable into the phono input of the R-N303.

Yamaha R-N303 Reviews

Great Value

I'm very pleased with the Yamaha 303. It's a solid performer with excellent sound quality and features. It offers so many ways to access music: via streaming services, Internet radio, bluetooth, CD, or even turntable. One limitation is the only 2 sets of speaker jacks, but adding a speaker selector switch solves that problem. Overall, a great unit for the price.

I requested a full refund on the same day I received a product as it sounded like a tin can. I was told that I would receive a refund in a gift card. I do NOT wish to buy any electronics currently from B&H. I want my money refunded! I have NEVER had such an issue with a return when a supplier brags about their NO HASSLE refunds. I had also closed my B&H PayBoo card a week ago and am receiving ZERO help regarding it. I am a WEBMASTER who currently has over 5000 subscribers and I will be sure to share my story with everyone.

Bought this receiver to use with my old Pioneer PL 400 turntable and for listening to music via Wi-Fi. Easy to connect to network and MusicCast has worked great. Use with Spotify as well as my own digital library. Very pleased with it.

Combination of Bluetooth and networking is great combination with analog inputs. Set up of wireless network was easy with iPhone.

Very nice stereo receiver - recommended.

Great sound quality, nicely featured, well built receiver, competitively priced. Feature setup, for example Bluetooth, is not at easy as it could be, but it works. Biggest complaint - front panel buttons and knobs should be backlit - difficult or impossible to see in low light conditions. Would likely purchase again.

I've had a few weeks to evaluate this receiver. Sound is good across spectrum through my JBL speakers. Blue tooth works well and is easy to connect too. MusicCast was downloaded easy enough but it took some time to get the WiFi set and working. Most of the use is for vinyl with a Fluance RT85. Sounds phenomenal. Works well with my CD collection as well. For the money this is a capable SNR receiver. B&H was a quick shipper and no hassle purchase.

Is it possible to output sound through bluetooth? ...

Is it possible to output sound through bluetooth? So that I could place a bluetooth speaker outside and have the turntable play on wired speakers inside?
Asked by: Bobby
Yes can do that using the musiccast app on a mobile device. From the owner manual (p.27): You can transmit audio to Bluetooth speakers or headphones using the MusicCast CONTROLLER app. The audio output can only be selected from the MusicCast CONTROLLER app. The sound coming from the wired speakers will not be synced with the BT output. But if you don't hear both outputs at the same time, it does not really matter.

Can the Phono input be used as an RCA line in for a device other than a turntable? Or is it exclusively for a turntable?
Asked by: Dean
The Phono input is connected to the receivers internal Pre Amp. In this case it is mainly meant to be used with a Turntable that has no Pre Amp. Connecting another device will very likely cause audio distortion.

Can this unit force a mono signal to the speakers? If so, can it be done when playing both the A and B speaker sets? I'm running speakers outdoors and sometimes stereo mixing doesn't sound as good when the left and right channels are 50 feet apart!

With a 2 Channel Signal, unfortunately each will be dedicated to either the Left or Right Channel. Looking further, I do not see a Mono Audio Mode.
