Canon ET-83E Reviews

Using it as a shorter alternative for RF 50/1.2

The native RF 50/1.2 hood is little bit longer than I would like. Purchased this ET-83E as an alternative. The whole lens+hood set is now more compact and looks great. The only thing is that when you're attaching the hood you need to apply little bit of extra pressure at the end to make the hood click/lock in. When comparing it to the original RF 50/1.2 hood and I noticed the ET-83E has about a half millimeter thicker inner locking ridge/bump, which is why the extra pressure is needed. It's not a problem; you could probably also file a little bit of the inner bump off if desired.
