Dell 13 9360 overview

  • 1Description

The 13.3" XPS 13 9360 Multi-Touch Notebook is a thin, light, and durable notebook designed for users looking for a portable system that's capable of keeping up with them. Powered by a 2.4 GHz Intel Core i7-7560U Dual-Core processor with a boost speed of 3.8 GHz, 16GB of 2133 MHz LPDDR3 RAM, and integrated Intel Iris Plus Graphics 640, the XPS 13 can efficiently multitask and quickly access frequently used files and programs.

Its 13.3" InfinityEdge IGZO IPS display features a QHD+ 3200 x 1800 resolution for crystal-clear details as well as multi-touch capabilities, allowing you to utilize touch gestures and commands within Windows 10 Home to further improve its efficiency and accessibility. For storage, this system is equipped with a 512GB M.2 solid-state drive, which can boot-up and load files and applications within seconds. Should you need more storage, connect external storage solutions using its one Thunderbolt 3 port and two USB 3.0 Type-A ports, one of which doubles as a charging port with PowerShare technology.

Connect to the Internet via 802.11ac Wi-Fi and pair compatible wireless peripherals using Bluetooth 4.1 to free up its USB ports for more important devices. Other integrated features include a 720p webcam, a backlit keyboard, an SD/SDHC/SDXC card reader, dual digital microphones, 2W stereo speakers wit Waves MaxxAudio, and a headset/microphone combo jack. The operating system installed is Windows 10 Home (64-Bit).

General Features

13" InfinityEdge Display
The InfinityEdge display features 5.2mm thin bezels for virtually borderless viewing. Built with an IGZO IPS panel, it also provides you with 170 wide viewing angles and brighter brights and darker dark colors with its 72% color gamut and a static contrast ratio of 1000:1. Furthermore, its 400 nit brightness rating ensures you get a great view, even when you're outside.
Thunderbolt 3
Thunderbolt 3 is a hardware interface that utilizes the reversible USB Type-C connector. Doubling the speed of its predecessor, Thunderbolt 3 features a maximum throughput of 40 Gb/s when used with compatible devices. The connector also transmits data via USB 3.1 at up to 10 Gb/s, and dual-bandwidth DisplayPort 1.2 allows you to connect two 4K displays simultaneously. Additionally, you can daisy chain up to six devices from a single Thunderbolt 3 port.
Advanced Docking
The Dell XPS 13 can be used with Dell's docking solutions for a single-cable connection for power, Ethernet, audio, and video.
Killer Wireless
Killer 1535 Wireless AC provides you with strong and reliable Wi-Fi connectivity for a smooth user experience. It automatically detects, classifies, and prioritizes network traffic so that more important data and tasks have more bandwidth over less urgent applications. It also delivers critical packets immediately, eliminating unnecessary latency and lag.
With a Little Touch
The display on this notebook also features touch capabilities, allowing you to use touch gestures and functions such as pinch, zoom, and more within Windows 10 to further improve its efficiency and accessibility.
Backlit Keyboard
With a backlit keyboard, you'll be able to stay productive even in dimly-lit and dark environments.
Durable Chassis
Constructed from a single block of aluminum, the XPS 13 is sturdy, durable, and sleek. The display is also covered with Corning Gorilla Glass, which is up to ten times more scratch resistant than soda lime glass.
Cool Under Pressure
The palm rest of the XPS 13 is made from carbon fiber, making it strong, thin, light, and even cool to the touch.

Windows 10 Home

Start Menu
After its hiatus in Windows 8, the Start Menu has returned. Utilizing a combination of the traditional menu system and Windows 8's Live Tiles, the improved Start Menu gives you more information at a glance, showing notification information alongside your applications and other pinned items.
Cortana
Microsoft's digital personal assistant, Cortana, can answer your questions with information gleaned from both your device and the Internet at large. You can type or even talk with her, if your system has a microphone. Using her Notebook, Cortana keeps track of your needs and wants, and she learns over time to improve her information-gathering skills.
Microsoft Edge
After nearly 20 years, Microsoft has finally replaced its Internet Explorer web browser. With Microsoft Edge, users can write directly on web pages and share notes with friends and colleagues. It also improves the online reading experience by adding a distraction-free mode and read-it-later functionality. Edge also has built-in Cortana integration; you can have her help you find a restaurant, make a reservation, and pull up directions without leaving your browser.
Windows Store
For Windows 10, Microsoft has unified the Windows Store. Now, apps for PCs, tablets, and phones will all be accessible from one place. And with support for Universal Apps, one version of an app can work across all your compatible devices automatically.
Windows Continuum
Windows 10 was designed for a variety of screen sizes and input styles, and with its Continuum feature, it automatically adapts to fit your needs. A Windows 10 tablet on its own requires a touch-centric approach, but attaching a mouse and keyboard will shift everything to a more traditional interface. You can even attach an external monitor to your Windows 10 phone for a near-desktop experience. But it's not just the operating system; Windows Universal Apps take advantage of Continuum as well.
Xbox on Windows 10
Gaming is a big focus of Windows 10. Xbox integration allows for PC players to match up against Xbox One players on supported games, and if you have an Xbox One, you can even stream compatible titles to your PC. Native support for recording with the new Game DVR feature makes it easy to capture and share your gameplay. The new DirectX12 takes better advantage of multi-core processors, giving games a performance boost, even on older hardware. Windows 10 also features native support for virtual reality headsets, such as the Oculus Rift.

    Dell 13 9360 reviews

    13.3" XPS 13 9360 Multi-Touch Notebook is rated 3.3 out of 5 by 14.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from This laptop is a steal! This is an amazing laptop. It was rated the best 13 inch laptop in 2017 by numerous publishers. The screen is beautiful. It is a great touch screen, very responsive. You can use a capacitive pen. It is quick. It is quiet. I do not have coil whine. It is pretty to look at. I was reluctant to buy the 2018 version (9370) because there are no standard USB ports, only USB C and Thunderbolt. You will also pay $400 more. This laptop gives you the Thunderbolt and two USB 3.0 ports that fit standard USB cables-no dongles needed. The 16gb of RAM and 512gb SSD are more than adequate. I researched for two weeks and kept coming back to this one. I'm glad I did.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very nice, but... Very well constructed. A bit heavier than my 13" Samsung ultrabook, but it feels much sturdier thanks to the aluminum body. The IPS screen is also very good. The only thing that I hate is the thunderbolt interface, which has so many issues. (Google it, if you are curious). Also, XPS 13 didn't come with any cable/adapter, I had to order one separately to connect it to my 27" monitor.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Won't even turn on Well, the specs on this machine look great. I was excited when it arrived. Unfortunately, it will not power on or accept a charge. I've had it on the charger all afternoon and still nothing - no lights or any indication that it is charging. Dell's quick-start guide says to plug it in and turn it on. This one either has a defective battery or dead motherboard. Returning and will update my review if the replacement item actually powers on the first time I try to use it. Unfortunately, I haven't even been able to turn this on once since receiving it. Returning item.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing Editing Laptop I use this laptop for video editing at 1080p 60FPS, it can totally handle it. I am a student and can not afford more weight in the backpack, this meets my standards. I recommend this.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Horrible I have done $1500 mistake to buying this dell, horrible laptop how engineerscreated this piece of garbage is just beyond my understanding it is heating up even for the smallest tasks of typing an email or letter in wordprocessor It is a laptop, but you cannot use it on your laps at all, cause ventilation is underneathand the smallest obstruction of those vents causing greattemperaturerase and fans start working like crazy It says up to 8 hours on battery ... NO WAY this thing starts heating up just for sitting on the desk without doing nothing any task would ruin battery life and you can get maybe 2 hours in the word processor at best, and as soon as you open this laptop from BH it became NOT RETURNABLE, so WATCH OUT I would NOT recommend THIS LAPTOP at all

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful Screen I have just finished loading all of my programs and have gotten the computer organized to my own personal taste. I have been on the device for about 2 full days and can say that I really like it. The small size and light weight fell solid. The screen is superb. One issue I had was that my Photoshop Elements 9 showed up withe the program buttons and icons too small due to the high screen dpi. I solved this by buying PSE 2018. Some folks have complained about the heat - I did not find that to be a problem.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great laptop It is a good value with top of the line specs, 512 MB SSD, 15 GB RAM, 3840 display, etc. packed into a sleek package. I have not stressed its performance so I can not say how fast it is. The only complaint that I have so far is its IO ports. It has two UBS 3 ports plus on Thunderbold 3 ports which is also the display ports. It cost a fortune to get at Thunderbold 3 to HDMI cable for connecting to a display. If one uses the USB remote mouse, there is just one USB port to do anything else.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Light and Powerful Being a college student, going from a heavy 15" Lenovo that broke my spinal cord every time I put it in my backpack, to this has been a blessing. aside from weight, it performs great and based off these specs will last me a long time since all I do is computer science assignments and web development side projects. My primary browser is Chrome, which drains the battery a lot, but even then two hours on this thing and its still over 50% battery life. Now one thing I have witnessed is the infamous coil whine, which is really not a big deal. I only heard it once when I first un-boxed and booted the machine. A contributing factor to that may be because I don't push the machine. same goes for body temperature, doesn't ever get too hot but that could be a different story if I were to push the machine. I also got the machine when it was around 1200 so based off these specs its a steal. Very happy
