The Mid-Level Spreader for flowtech 75 from Vinten provides additional stability for your flowtech 75 tripod. Its mid-level design enables you to quickly position the tripod on uneven terrain or stairs. This spreader also enables more narrow positioning of the tripod legs, useful in cramped spaces or to gain additional height.

Vinten V4151-1001 Reviews
If it's like the Sachtler spreader, it's a terrible product
Be wary, this spreader is the same as the very poorly reviewed Sachtler equivalent, just with a Vinten sticker. Where the end of the arms attach to the clip which clicks onto the tripod leg, the connection is white metal less than a quarter of an inch thick. It will likely break multiple times over the life of the tripod. If I could give it negative stars I would. At my work we stopped sending the tripods out with the spreader as it was virtually guaranteed that it would break and after the third time, we didn't want to spend the time and money to replace it. Absolutely criminal that Vinten/Sachtler/Vitec allowed this into the wild. Seems designed to fail. On purpose?
I needed it more than I thought I would
I bought the tripod without the spreader and used it like that for a couple months. It works ok like that, but it works much better with the spreader, and it didn't cost that much more. It's well worth it.
