Built to last, the housing is made from a hard plastic, which is clear to allow you to monitor the O-ring seal and maintain a full view of the camera. The surface features a hard coating for extra durability and an anti-reflection coating to reduce glare for improved visibility. The built-in dome port covers the lens and corrects for the underwater size distortion that makes everything appear 25% larger and closer, thereby helping to restore the camera's original angle of view to give you greater coverage. Additionally, a convenient carrying case and strap are included with the housing.

Water got in and destroyed my camera

I tried it out once in a swimming pool. At barely one foot underwater, some water got into the housing and destroyed the camera. I had put everything together according to the (pretty lousy) instructions, that really shouldn't happen.

Absolute waste of money, you can see the bottom of the housing in the footage. The tripod mount has no reinforcement, can crack easily.

What size is the tripod screw mount? The theta has a smaller-than-standard size, so I would like to know if the waterproof case is the smaller Theta size or the standard tripod size.
Asked by: nevil
We bought this housing and it fits fine on a standard tripod mount. Our Thetas (V and S) both also fit fine on a standard tripod mount.
