Pearstone HDA-A515UT Reviews
This cable is directional
I ordered 4. I thought 2 were DOA. Turns out they're directional. There is no arrow on the end of the cable, it just says 'source' or 'tv'. It should have been made more clear.
Not all HDMI cables created equal
Yes it's just a cable but a couple of features that I really like and other cables don't have: First, it's ultra thin. That makes it easier to manage/twist, and lighter! And second: the hdmi connector is low profile as well, which really helps in tighter spaces where you try to connect a cable and the plastic molding is too thick and won't let you connect all the way. This one is perfect!
Not functioning
Broken
Bought a lot over the years
I've used them for many years cuz of its thin profile. They are much easier to carry around and cable management is easy with them. Like all HDMI cables, they will fail at some point. So they are not the most reliable. But it is competitively priced and they work. The other thing is that they are one directional. So getting the input and output right is important.
poor quality and poor customer service - beware Pearstone
Our Pearstone ultra-thin HDMI cable died just after the B&H return period elapsed - it wouldn't work with any of our laptops, on any of our projectors or TVs. Totally unusable. We returned it to Pearstone for warranty replacement, paying the return shipping cost at our expense. Pearstone claimed that it worked fine, which was simply impossible. They also refused to send another cable unless we paid the shipping cost (which would have amounted to close to the cost of just buying a new cable). We let it go. Waste of money and very poor, disappointing customer service. Beware.
Fine for cameras
Handy to connect an external monitor, do not resist movements because of their thinness.
great cable
i got many of this cable i use them for their length and the fact that they are soft and thin the last much longer that i expected only downside is that they have a direction if you connect them not as labeled display and source it wont work... but it is not a real issue
Look elsewhere
I ordered a couple of these, and the first one didn't work out of the box. One of them worked with the BPCC4k, but I will be replacing them as I don't trust it.
