Eliminate floor cables by adding up to eight wireless headsets to your ClearCom wired intercom system with this Eartec HUB Interface. By linking the HUB Interface to both the HUB Mini Transceiver Base Station (available separately) and your ClearCom wired system, this wireless-to-wired interface enables up to eight wireless users to roam freely and communicate in full duplex with the partyline—handsfree—just as if they were plugged into the wired system by cable.

I work in a community small community theatre that has used Eartec wireless comms for years. They've been adequate, and having wireless comms is nice, but I missed the quality and clear sound that I was used to with ClearCom wired comms. I finally decided to pick up one of these interfaces and run ClearCom to the non-moving positions like light board op, sound op, and stage manager. It has been a fantastic improvement. The backstage crew and house manager still have the freedom to remain on comms while they move around, while the sound quality for cue calling from the SM to lights and sound has been much better.

This thing is a game-changer. I've been doing live sports productions for almost 10 years and never knew about this but it solves a MAJOR problem in that wireless (clear com/telex) headsets are EXPENSIVE! You can get an eartec set and this interface and then use your WIRED clear com and suddenly expand your capabilities heavily. This thing is incredible and I will be ordering more of them to use with other comm systems that we use doing sports productions around our state.

I am looking to use the Hub to connect a Whirlwind THS-4 instead of a comm system. Is this possible?

It depends on what you want to do with them. This box works with Clear Comm equipment but without this box, you can send talent audio at line level from the Whirlwind into the Eartec Hub directly. We currently do that.

I have the 4 pack eartec headsets, that work with master headset and 3 slaves. For the hub interface to clearcom, will I also need to buy the Hub? So will I need both the hub and hub interface?

Yes, you will need to use the HUB (B&H # EAHUB) and the HUB interface together. The HUB works in the same manner as the master headset you already have, so it replaces the master headset. The HUB can be used with eight wireless UltraLite remote headsets and one wired headset.

No. This Eartec HUB Interface is intended specifically for use to connect a Clear-Com wired intercom system with an Eartec HUB intercom system.

No, the Eartec HUB Interface for Clear-Com Intercom will not work because this adapter is made to interface with Clear-Com systems.
