How does this work in rainy situations (i.e. recording a rainy soccer game), is it water resistant or do they make a rain cover for it?
Asked by: Tom
Hey, the cover that is provided is not a rain proof or water resistant cover because it has ports and buttons still exposed. So this is more of a shock resistant cover as all four edges has a more beefy rubbery build than the rest of the cover.

I'm considering this to help getting focus for astro landscape photos plus the added real estate, I do not intend to use it for video at this time. I am assuming that when I use the camera monitor's zoom feature that this will also show on this monitor. In other words this monitor displays an exact copy of the camera'a touch screen image. Am I correct in this assumption?
Asked by: Charles
I cannot specifically say that it will match your camera's touch screen. I use it as a monitor on a streaming media kit for a GoPro that is a secondary video input. I can tell you it absolutely does change what is displayed as soon as I change the GoPro shot. instant change.

Will peaking and false color appear on the hdmi loop through, or is it a "clean output"?
Asked by: Todd
It is a clean output. I use 4 of these monitors on cameras with peaking activated. The signal is then routed clean to my switcher.

can this monitor be used as a teleprompter? can i run an iPad prompt app into it using HDMI?
Asked by: steven
Yes. I used an iPad Pro with a teleprompter app and a usb C hub with a HDMI port. I was using it as an additional monitor for the teleprompter operator who was close enough to read it. I think for most situations a 7” monitor will be too small for talent to read easily though.

Can you mount the monitor from size for 9x16 shooting?
Asked by: Ian
I’m not sure exactly what you mean by mounting from size for 9x16. Are you talking about the aspect ratios you can set for the monitor? Yes it will show you a 16:9 aspect ratio, but I think you have to desqueeze in post. Hope this helps!! I love the monitor, totally worth it and a great size.

There isn't a specific cage built for the Lilliput A7S 7". However, you can use a universal monitor cage.
