Matias FK318S Reviews

Great until it fails

I have purchased several of these keyboards in different sizes, and I have finally learned my lesson that despite the great form factor, nice design and excellent feel of the keys, they will fail rapidly and frustratingly. For a while I put up with the fact that some keys often double-type and others often require multiple presses to type at all, but as the problems get worse ultimately I give up. I would *love* these keyboards, and happily pay somewhat more for them if they only were reliable.

This is a very well made keyboard and a perfect replacement for the original Apple keyboard.

The #3 stopped functioning on my Apple keyboard, and so I need to replace the entire keyboard, only to find that Apple stop making the wired ones. This Matias one is a great replacement! It has the feel and look of the Apple product. I'm very happy with it, would highly recommend. Thanks, B&H, for the product and quick delivery.

Worth The Investment

My original Mac Keyboard I have been using for probably well over 20 years. When I started experiencing problems with a random repeating key, I felt I needed to repair it because Apple no longer makes this model. Well, my repair did work for a month or so but the old problem returned. Other generic keyboards just did not cut it. Probing into the B&H Website, I found the Matias duplicate of the original Mac keyboard. I was a little reliant to purchase it but felt it couldn't be any worse than what I was using. To make a long story short, I love this keyboard. The only difference between it and the original is the slightly different key pressure feedback. It is not as soft as the original but to me it is winner.

Identical to the original Apple wired keyboard

Was still using my wired keyboard from my 2008 iMac (which was a little worse for the ware.) This one seems identical.
