The brown d:fine 4066 Omnidirectional Headset Microphone, Std-Sens with Microdot and 3-Pin XLR Adapter from DPA offers a clean and transparent sound quality with lots of headroom. It is designed for use with wired or wireless systems and can be utilized in broadcast as well as theater applications on Broadway, and more.

The adjustable headset's construction allows you to detach the mic boom from the headset mount and switch between wearing it on the left or right side depending on your preference. Humidity, often an issue in theatrical applications, is not a problem. The materials inside the mic are water-resistant and built with a design that keeps the mic working even in high-humidity situations. Also, there is a double-vent protection system and a drop stopper on the microphone boom.

In addition, the headset surface is matte-gold plated and the ear hooks are covered with a silicone hose. The microphone's 6 mV/PA sensitivity matches the level of the human voice to the general input sensitivity of most wireless transmitters. It can handle SPLs (sound pressure levels) up to 144 dB before clipping occurs. Finally, the cable terminates to a microdot connector. Also included is a soft-boost miniature grid, a high-boost miniature grid, a foam windscreen, and a DAD6001 3-pin XLR adapter for direct connection to a mixer or XLR system with 48V phantom power.
