I ordered 2 Gemini’s that arrived within 2 days. The cases and Chimeras arrive a few days later. I had both out on a week long project for a high profile client and the Gemini’s worked perfectly. We were in situations that required using various gel options and the DP loved what we could provide. The menu options are very easy to navigate and have any color you can imagine. We own Arri S60s that are the industry’s standard for a powerful soft panel. The read out on the Arri are not easy to see when up on a stand as it is above the ballast and impossible to see. The Gemini’s readout out faces down toward the operator. It’s very easy to see. There is no ballast. This is a huge plus. The Gemini is not as heavy as the Arri either. Another plus. The Gemini isn’t as bright as the Arri S60 but not that far off. The Gemini is more affordable than the Arri as well. One other thing I prefer is the Chimera Pop bank that comes as an accessory. You don’t need a frame to attach the bank. The frame that comes as an accessory with the Arri is garbage. We constantly loose screws. It’s a flimsy mess. It’s a nice addition to the full color range LED Softpanel options we offer our clients.
