The HP Z VR Backpack G1 features a light, comfortable backpack design so you can move around freely without having to worry about cables. It is powered by dual batteries, which are hot swappable for an uninterrupted VR session. Using either an HTC Vive BE or an HP Windows Mixed Reality Headset (both sold separately), the HP Z VR Backpack G1 provides a fully immersive VR experience. The NVIDIA Quadro P5200 workstation graphics card with 16GB of GDDR5 VRAM provides high end VR performance.
The system is powered by a 7th Gen Kaby Lake 2.9 GHz Intel Core i7-7820K quad-core processor. It also has 32GB of 2400 MHz DDR4 RAM, a 256GB solid state drive, 802.11ac Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2, Thunderbolt 3, HDMI 2.0, Mini DisplayPort, and USB 3.0. The included dock allows you to switch between a wearable VR backpack computer to a desktop computer. The HP logo and the light bar also support RGB lighting.
Windows 10 Pro (64-bit) is the installed operating system. The Pro version of Windows 10 includes all of the features of Windows 10 Home plus many designed specifically for businesses users, including Hyper-V virtualization, BitLocker disk encryption, and remote desktop access. Devices will also be able to join domains and the Azure Active Directory, and they can even access a specialized version of the Windows Store featuring custom, company-specific applications.
