Tenba 3220W Reviews

World Class - Toughest case EVER!

I had to go back and check my Studio records regarding the Tenba cases we used for then, Bronica SQA 21.4X21/4 FILM cameras back in the Old Days of film. I Always traveled & went on assignment with FOUR Bodies, 10 film backs, 2 Polaroid, 11 Bronica/Tamron lenses, a couple duplicates, auto winders, 45º view finders, sewing kits, buttons, first aid kits and whatever else we could think of that we might need on a shoot. Oh, and 5 Sunpak 120J's w/Batteries, EOS1n, EOŚNR, AND a Canon D30 with several lenses. They All Fit in two cases! Those were the technical days of photography in my opinion. Fast forward ahead, I decided to re-invest in the BEST, Top of the Line Canon EOS5D R & others along with ALL Prime lenses this time, ALL the FASTEST I could find. When it came time for a smaller DURABLE, Relieable Case, I tried one of the others with Same Letter T but different company. It didn't nor could hold up to my extreme abuse I tend to put my equipment through. I've tried so many Camera Companies and ONLY THREE could hold up to my way of working and not so gently handling of Highly Expensive equipment, why I always bought the best. Although this is the Newer Version of the FIRST Tenba Wheeled transport case, we also had the identical one that was the version prior to this, no wheels. I wrote a review on that travel bag, have grown out of it and am ready for another Tenba, I'm just not sure of the size yet, however I can assure you it will be one of these bags. I have stood on these(I weighed 247lb bodybuilder), sat on them, tossed them around in and out of our Studio Vans etc.. NOT ONE piece of equipment was ever damaged. The First non wheeled bag, lasted 15yrs until we converted to all digital and it was sold to someone in Germany. The Wheeled bag we kept since it held what we needed and after having to layoff employees and close the doors due to personal issues, everything was sold and I know the wheeled bag(older model) like this newer one is still going strong. I'm convinced if they survived my time with them, and treatment, I'd tell everyone, don't BE CHEAP! When you buy the BEST, it lasts longer, built tougher and gets higher ReSale value!

Very good case

I bought it two years ago. I always had trouble geting my cases on taxis or airplanes. Never have had any issues with this one. Super big, super strong and it fits in any average trunk, and it travels as normal baggage in airports. If you load it with super heavy gear, obviously you will have to pay extra weigh. Try buying two checked in bags. It works for me most of the time.
