These do a good job of keeping the wind out. I actually bought these a little large so I could wear them on top of some liners I own. My biggest gripe is the texture on the palm doesn't really provide any extra traction/grip. Maybe they thought nylon would be fine since your fingertips are exposed, but for my use case it was a poor choice.
These replaced fingerless gloves I had that were made of similar (same?) materials, but were another brand, and were lost in a flood. The size chart lead me to order XL size, which is quite snug. Hope with some wear they will loosen up some.
