Lumantek EZ-CGER MINI Reviews
So far so good
I bought this without being able to find any reviews - so sharing. We put together a lot of government setups and one of the sore spots is always a live CG solution that's cheap. BlackMagic lets you load stills into the media player via a computer running photoshop but that is always cumbersome and not as immediate as a live CG setup. The ez-ccger takes a USB3 input from a Windows laptop (no Mac) and generates HD/SDI Fill and Key outputs (1920x1080) which easily tie into a Blackmagic ATEM switcher as downstream key. It comes with it's own free software which is OK, not great - but on the same level as Compix. Anyway - I plugged it all in, loaded the software and made some tweaks in the BM key settings and it works quite well. Easy layering in page construction, alpha channel transparency and onscreen preview and program view of the output. So far I'm optimistic, if this proves to be reliable, it's a great field solution for quality live CG. Documentation is fairly poor - but if you are comfortable with setting up studio gear like this, you'll have no trouble.
