The black, 20 x 24" Matthews Dutti Dolly is a portable camera dolly platform designed to help you capture shots from very low angles or in tight spaces. Matthews Dutti Dolly Overview

The black, 20 x 24" Matthews Dutti Dolly is a portable camera dolly platform designed to help you capture shots from very low angles or in tight spaces. This compact dolly rides just under two inches from the ground on eight in-line skate wheels. Use the Dutti Dolly directly on smooth surfaces, or with either industry-standard speed rail or commercially available tubing. Its universal stand brackets enable it to ride on round, square, angled, or PVC tubing. The Dutti Dolly supports weights up to 800 lb, suiting it for dolly step-off shots by an operator using a gimbal or stabilizer system.

Tripods, bazookas, and other supports can be mounted directly to the dolly platform, and a ride-on seat option is available separately. The versatile Dutti Dolly may be mounted over or under-slung, and its wheels feature removable covers for easy maintenance. This dolly's weight is substantial enough to provide stability for quick tilts and whip pans, and multiple dollies may be mounted side by side for custom configurations.

The Dutti Dolly platform is made of CNC-machined aluminum, and features an integrated Mitchell mount with four keyhole slots. The platform incorporates an impressive 14 3/8"-16 threaded accessory mounting holes, and two parallel slots enable you to guide the dolly by its outer edges.

1.25" square tube is recommended by the manufacturer.

The main difference between the Matthews Dutti Dolly (Black, 20 x 24&quot;) and the other two dollys is that the Matthews Dutti Dolly (Black, 20 x 24&quot;) comes with wheels that allow it to roll on the floor as well as on a track. Other than that all three dollys are very similar in form and function.

Matthews states that you can use the Matthews Dutti Dolly (Black, 20 x 24&quot;) with speed rail or commercial tubing that can be round, square, angled or PVC pipe, though 1.25&quot; square tubing is the recommended choice by Matthews.

Does this item(#395400) actually come with the Mitchell Riser? When I see it listed on other sites.. it does not

The Dutti Dolly does not include a Mitchell Riser, this title should read, &quot;Matthews Dutti Dolly with Mitchell Receiver (Aluminum)&quot;. The Dutti Dolly Rental Kit does include the Mitchell Riser. Thank you for pointing this out, requesting B&amp;H to correct this error.

No and Yes. It really depends on the length of the pipe, the dimension, the schedule of the pipe you are using, and the overall payload of your camera plus the weight of the dolly. Thin material will need more support and three stands would be good. A four or five foot run with two stands inset by about a foot would be fine especially if you are using standard speed rail. One size doesn't fit all.

Can this be used with an Sachtler Aktiv8 75mm fluid head in the under slung configuration?

The Dutti Dolly Rental Kit will receive standard 75mm heads with its 75mm Bowl Adapter. Not familiar with the Activ8 system, this may be a question for Sachtler, as to their system fitting a standard 75mm Bowl and the safety of operating their head in an inverted orientation.
