Helping to shorten the final rinse time after the fixer step, this 12 oz bottle of Arista Hypo Wash greatly reduces fixer residue in order to lessen washing times and water use for both film and paper. This 12 oz bottle should be diluted with water to make 1 gal of working solution.

I'm trying it out as an alternative to Heico Perma Wash. So far I've used it to shorten washing time of a couple of rolls of TMax 400 that I exposed all the way back in 2001, which then got tossed in a box when I moved in 2004, and was forgotten about until a few weeks ago. I'm happy to report that the rolls came out just fine. Not being a laboratory chemist, I can't report much more than I have -- as it did no harm to my film, I have to assume it works as it's supposed to.
