Parrot Mambo overview

  • 1Description

Become an experienced FPV pilot with the Mambo Mini Quadcopter from Parrot. This FPV kit comes with everything you need for an immersive racing experience, including a top-mounted HD camera, an FPV headset, and a controller.

With three different flight modes, the Mambo FPV teaches novice pilots the ins and outs of first-person-view racing. Each mode utilizes a different level of stabilization sensors, allowing more control and providing less assistance as you progress toward the most advanced level. Once you've mastered all three levels, you'll be ready to join FPV races.

The Mambo can be controlled from your smartphone using the FreeFlight Mini app or with the included Flypad. With the Flypad, you get an operational range up to 328'. Depending on accessories and the environment, the Mambo's flight battery can last up to 10 minutes.

Become a Skilled FPV Pilot
The Mambo features three different flying modes, which will take pilots from novices to experienced flyers. Start with the Easy mode, which keeps Mambo in the air even if you let go of the controls. Once you've mastered Easy, switch to the Drift mode, which turns the horizontal stabilization off and lets you to make tight turns. Finally, graduate to Racing mode and gain complete control of the drone without any stabilization assistance.
Fly Farther with Flypad
The included Parrot Flypad lets you fly your Parrot Mambo from up to 328' away.
Long Lasting Battery
The Mambo's high-performance battery yields up to 10 minutes of flight time, so you can stay in the race longer.
Parrot Mambo Racing Club
Once you've mastered FPV racing you'll be ready to join the #MamboRacingClub. Take on challenges suggested by Parrot, organize races with other pilots, and share content from your flights on social networks.
FreeFlight Mini App
With a user-friendly interface, simplified drone connection, and automatic recognition of your connected Mambo and accessories, everything in the FreeFlight Mini app is designed to improve your flight experience. Customize settings, change viewing modes, check battery levels, and more.

    Parrot Mambo reviews

Mambo FPV Mini Quadcopter is rated 3.0 out of 5 by 3.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for the Classroom This drone works fantastic for the classroom STEM program I do. You can use the Parrot Blocky coding program or use the Tynker app if you want to. The propeller guards are a little on the week side, but I 3D print my own when they break. As with any drone, you need extra batteries and propellers as you will crash and need more battery than the 7-10 minutes I get. The FPV is a bit glitchy at times and that can be annoying but when it works the students love it beyond anything else I have done in the class. Its also easy enough for my 2nd grader and Kinder at home to fly manually and to code. Great product and easy to fly.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from FPV mode glitch leads to unresponsive Mambo I bought this in December, had it for a week but mostly flew it with out using the FPV mode. The two times I did use FPV the drone became unresponsive. The first time it crashed in to a tree, and the second and last time it fly off into oblivion never to be seen again. Luckily I was operating it in a rural area where it wasn't a risk to anyone. Parrot support is bad too. I emailed them immediately after the incident late December. My case was "elevated" and I haven't heard a word since. Called again last week and was told I'd have a response in 48 hours, that also hasn't happened.
