Perfect piano

This piano is exactly what I expected. It looks great and sounds even better.

Good if you don't want to buy a real piano, but not perfect.

The Privia feels pretty much like a real piano would, and has all the whistles and bells of a digital piano. I'm a relative beginner at piano and It bought not for the electronics, but for the size and touch, It's enough. It doesn't take up much space, allows for recording. It comes with a built-in keyboard cover (since I share my space with 5 cats, this is important). It's a kit. Assembling it was fairly easy and fast, but putting the keyboard itself into the stand is best done with two people--it's heavy and a bit bulky. The instructions for this are good. There are few glitches. There's apparently a hinge holding two parts of the keyboard cover. It's got holes for screws, but the nice Casio people decided to use glue. One side came unstuck and I'm not sure how to restick it, but it keeps the cover from closing and will probably wear down one of the F# keys if I don't--but by the time I figured out the problem the packaging was long gone. A more systematic problem is trying to figure out how to use the nifty functions--there's no display so getting information out of the piano isn't always a trivial task. It can be annoying to sort out the instructions for resetting the built-in metronome, adjusting the timbre, etc. I'm giving it 3 stars, in spite of the problems. It wasn't the most expensive, and once I get the hinge problem solved it'll suit my needs just fine--but there are capabilities that are probably just too much of a hassle to sort out.
