Depending on your needs, the Pixelbook is highly adaptable thanks to its 2-in-1 design, which lets you use it in laptop, tablet, tent, and entertainment viewing modes. Its 12.3" display, driven by integrated Intel HD graphics, has a 2400 x 1600 resolution display and a 400 nit brightness rating for crisp and clear viewing, even in brightly lit environments. Furthermore, it supports touch inputs using your fingers or the optional Pixelbok Pen, so you can easily write, draw, and navigate intuitively. Chrome OS
Using Linux as a base, Google designed Chrome OS to work exclusively with web applications. The user interface takes a minimalist approach, which greatly resembles the Google Chrome web browser. Chrome OS was built for people who spend a majority, if not all, of their time on the computer connected to the Internet. The only application that comes installed on Chrome OS is a special Google Chrome web browser with an integrated media player and file manager. All other applications are accessed by adding apps from the Google Chrome Web Store. Since Chrome OS relies entirely on Google's web apps and access to Google's services, it is highly recommended that you connect to the Internet to optimize your Chrome OS experience.
Google Assistant Built-In
With a dedicated hotkey and voice activation, Google Assistant is built into this Chromebook to help answer your questions, get things done, manage your day, and more.
2-in-1 Design
Featuring a 2-in-1 design, the Pixelbook can be used in laptop, tablet, tent, and entertainment viewing modes to fit your needs.
All-Day Battery
The battery in the Pixelbook is rated to last up to 10 hours of use on a single charge. Please note that battery life will vary depending on use.
Apps for Work and Play
Loaded with your favorite Google apps such as Drive, Docs, Sheets, and more, the Pixelbook has got you covered for both work and play.

I got a Pixelbook recently. I want to use it to transfer my photos from my Sony RX10iv to Pixelbook. However, it only has USB-C. Do you know what cable or adapter I can use to transfer my photos to the Pixelbook? Thanks, Lynn
Asked by: Lynn
A simple adapter such as the one below would do the trick: https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1174710-REG/moshi_99mo084200_usb_c_to_usb_adapter.html

question

why would i buy this instead of a macbook better equipt and cheaper?r
Asked by: philip t.
Although both systems are Unix/Linux based, both are very different in the experience they offer. So it depends on your computing needs and if you are an early adopter and willing to try something new. ChromeOS is in its infancy, compared to MacOS's having been long established. ChromeOS is largely cloud-based and powered, and this will be the future of computing eventually. Whereas Mac's have had very little to no relative large advancements in computing in recent years, but is a great platform that has had time to develop and establish its platform.ChromeOS is a very new platform and is still building itself, but cloud power will overtake eventually. It just depends on your needs, and if you believe in ChromeOS.
