The lamp offers three Cree LEDs, a powerful center XM-L2 LED for creating concentrated spot beams and two lateral XP-G2 LEDs for generating spread-out flood beams. You can control the output of light (from 5 to 1000 lumens), as well as beam shape (flood or spot), by using two control push buttons located on the top of the lamp. To provide more versatility in pointing the beam in the right direction, the headlamp attaches to the adjustable headband and can tilt 60° up and down.
