Axis Communications M2026-LE Mk II Reviews

Looking good. Timekeeping issue though.

So far looking good. Installation: pretty easy. Wish they had some text instructions to go with their all picture based install booklet. Picture Quality: Good. Manufacturing Quality: Good. Not made in China, which is what I was primarily looking for. Issue so far: I have the current date/time overlay enabled on the video. This is working nicely. But time is slipping quickly, maybe 1 minute every couple of days. I have NTP on the camera set to a fixed private server, which is working correctly. The only way to fix is to log into the camera's web server and briefly toggle the date/time setting. The camera then retrieves the latest time via NTP, which is correct. The camera **really** should be doing that on its own, so I suspect a camera software bug related to manually setting the IP address of the NTP server.

Axis M2026-LE Mk II is a great IP camera. It has wide view (130 degree) that covers wider range field of view. It works well with Synology NAS that allows me to store videos on my DS1019+.

Camera is Great, but arrived in poor condition

Ive bought this camera because of all the good reviews Ive read and I must say this is one of the best cameras I configured. after trying all the cheap ones (foscam, yicam, reolink, etc) this is by far the best and it camera and completely justify the high price. The camera is great, but it arrived with the top lid broken (had to glue it to the cam since it wouldnt stay put) and it also arrived covered in dirt. I couldnt wait to change since I had a trip scheduled and I had to take the camera with me. But apart from that everything works fine. Im definitely buying another one, just wont be buying from here.

Great lil camera

I just picked up 9 of these for my home. While not as robust as some of the other Axis products I have used in the past, these are decent little cameras for their price point. Also worth mentioning is that these are 4MP (2688x1520) and not 4K as one reviewer mentions. Nevertheless, the image quality is still great and when you factor in all the features packed into this thing, I doubt youll find another network camera in this price range that can even come close to competing with it. Coupled with the free (did I mention free?) AXIS Companion application that can accommodate up to 16 network cameras, and you now have yourself a pretty nice surveillance system that wont break the bank. I have been installing network based surveillance for years and nobody can come close to Axis.

One of the best IP-Cam I`ve ever installed

During the past years, I installed a ton of IP-Cams from several brands. So far, D-Link was my favorite, especially for the private sector. This all changed after I set up the M20 MkII for the first time. The 4k picture qualityis supreme. The data codecs guarantee a high frame rate, even with max. resolution. The heating is even sufficientfor Chicago`s cold winters and the installation is easy. For the private / home sector, it`s still on the upper end, but absolutely worth it the money. When it comes to surveillancecameras, you better spend a little bit more money ahead of time and be covered for years.

THE BEST CAMERA COMPANY BY FAR

As soon as you plugin the camera to your network, it looks for any current firmware. It's my third Axis camera. They're the best of all network cameras I install as an I.T. guy. Not just because of ease of installation, but because of quality product and company firmware ans software update. Try that with a cheap camera.

Small camera but just right for the job

This is my second M2026-LE Mk II. The first one is working just fine but I needed another one to cover an outside patio. Works nicely in conjunction with a Synology Surveillance Station and 4 other cameras around the house. The small size is perfect and the resolution is just right for what it is supposed to do.
