Designed as a flexible solution for high-resolution imaging from a variety of camera platforms, the H6D-100c Digital Back from Hasselblad is intended for use on view and technical camera bodies as well as on H6D system bodies. Characterized by its large 100MP CMOS sensor, which measures 53.4 x 40mm, this back is able to record an extremely broad dynamic range of 15 stops with 16-bit color depth, as well as a wide sensitivity range of ISO 64-12800. The Hasselblad Natural Color Solution technology benefits this sensor's capabilities by maintaining consistent and accurate colors and tonal transitions. In addition to high-resolution stills, this back can also record UHD 4K and Full HD video in the Hasselblad RAW format.
The back's physical design incorporates a 3.0" 920k-dot touchscreen LCD for live view shooting and menu access, and a Mini HDMI port can be used for working with optional external monitors. Both CFast and SD card slots are available for in-back storage, and files can be saved remotely when shooting tethered via the USB 3.0 Type-C connection.
In addition to view camera and technical camera use, this back is also compatible with H6D camera bodies. Compared to previous-generation H-system bodies, the H6D camera body has updated button functionality to suit working with H6D digital backs, and it is not recommended to use this digital back on other, older H-system bodies.
- Built-in 3.0" 920k-dot touchscreen LCD affords intuitive control over settings navigation and adjustment, and also permits bright, clear live view monitoring.
- USB 3.0 Type-C connector offers transfer speeds of up to 5 Gb/s for quick and responsive tethered live view and stills capture.
- In addition to tethered shooting, dual memory card slots are incorporated into the back for flexible storage capabilities. One CFast card can be used for fast read/write speeds, which are necessary for continuous shooting or UHD 4K video recording, and one SD slot is provided for backup storage and wide compatibility with existing cards and card readers.
- Benefitting video applications, as well as working with the back on technical view cameras, a Mini HDMI port permits use of an optional external monitor for clear monitoring. Additional, audio in/out ports are provided for more flexible control over audio recording during video.
- Phocus 3.0 is a free image processing software that complements the back's capabilities, and enables raw file processing for both stills and video, as well as a range of editing capabilities, including automatic moiré detection and the ability to work with adjustment layers for applying exposure, white balance, and color corrections.
