I bought a pair of these a year ago, and at the time, it was $120 cheaper. Hard to conceive of why there has been such a dramatic price increase. Pro: Sound absorption is very effective. I use it on my desktop to record podcasts. Con: the edges of the hard shell back are VERY sharp. I've scraped myself twice. They really should sand them down, which is what I'll end up doing to avoid further injury. I've haven't found a comparable product with a hard backing and desktop stands. Would love to have paid the old price, but they get the job done.
