Styled in a cranberry red finish, the Yamaha SBT0807CR is rack tom that’s part of their Stage Custom Birch series. It measures 8 x 7”, and has been constructed out of birch to ensure a welcome resonance when you beat it with your sticks. The SBT0807CR comes with Remo UT Clear heads, a 1.5mm shell, and a steel, triple-flange hoop design.
Birch Shell
The shell is a key factor in a drum's ability to resonate. Accordingly, this rack tom employs 100% birch in its construction, which is a suitable material for this express purpose. With its six-ply structure, this rack tom accurately conveys the vibrations produced at the impact surface.

The Yamaha Enhanced Sustain System (or YESS for short) provides minimal contact between hardware and shell, affording open sustain on the rack tom while keeping it stable and secure.
