It is powered by a 2.8 GHz Intel Core i7-7700HQ Quad-Core processor that allows you to run multiple applications simultaneously. The processor also features a boost speed of up to 3.8 GHz and the system's 16GB of 2400 MHz DDR4 RAM, which may be upgraded to 32GB, allows the computer to quickly access frequently-used files and programs, as well as help to ensure efficient multitasking.

The 15.6" anti-glare IPS display features a Full HD 1920 x 1080 resolution, a 16:9 aspect ratio, LED backlighting, viewing angles of 160/160°, and a 60 Hz refresh rate. The dedicated NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 graphics card has 6GB of GDDR5 RAM and delivers a sharp, clear picture. You'll also be able to output video to an external display using the HDMI 2.0a and DisplayPort 1.2 outputs, the latter of which runs through the Thunderbolt 3 bus and can support either one 5K display or two 4K displays. Also featured is NVIDIA's Max-Q design.

For connecting to the Internet, this notebook is equipped with Gigabit Ethernet and dual-band 2.4 and 5 GHz 802.11ac Wi-Fi at speeds up to 867 Mbps. External peripherals, such as additional storage, optical drivers, printers, and more may be connected using the three 5 Gb/s USB 3.0 Type-A ports, one of which is equipped with PowerShare technology, and the one Thunderbolt 3 port. Additional compatible peripherals, such as keyboards, mice, and headsets may be paired using Bluetooth 4.2 technology.

For storage of your files, the Inspiron 15 7000 features a 1TB 5400 rpm SATA 2.5" hard drive, plus a 128GB M.2 SSD that serves as a boot drive. Whether you are listening to music, watching a movie, or playing a game, the dual integrated stereo speakers feature Waves MaxxAudio Pro and offer high-quality sound. There is also a built-in 720p webcam and dual-array microphones that allow you to engage in face-to-face conversations using Skype or other software, as well as a media card reader that supports SD and MMC cards.

General Features

Next-Level Graphics
With an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 graphics and 6GB of GDDR5 video memory, gameplay is clear and detailed. Also, thanks to NVIDIA's Max-Q design, GeForce GTX GPUs are available in laptops as thin as 0.7". Everything is engineered for the ultimate thin gaming laptop experience, including the laptop, chip, drivers, thermal and electrical components, and more.
Viewing Experience
Witness everything on screen with extreme clarity and deep colors thanks to the Full HD IPS display, which is also equipped with an anti-glare panel to create a wider range of environments.
Processing Power
A 2.8 GHz Intel Core i7-7700HQ Quad-Core processor quickly and efficiently works through operations, while 2x2 Wi-Fi antennas improve the speed, range, and stability of network connectivity. Thunderbolt 3 enables transfer speeds of up to 40 Gb/s and can support either a single 5K display or dual 4K displays.
Stay Cool
The 0.98" design is equipped with cooling vents and dual fans to help keep your system from buckling under the load of demanding games. The mono-hinge design also positions the display away from the exhaust airflow and internal space is maximized so the quad-core CPU and discrete graphics systems stay cool.
Game Strong
This system is equipped with 802.11ac Wi-Fi with SmartByte network priority optimization, Gigabit Ethernet, Thunderbolt 3/USB 3.1 Type-C, USB 3.0 Type-A, and a multi-format SD/MMC media card reader.
HDMI 2.0a
The full-size HDMI 2.0a port plugs into external monitors & supports a fully immersive gaming experience.
Clutter-Free Connectivity
Enjoy the convenience of single-cable docking for video and data with a USB 3.0 Type-C port that supports DisplayPort 1.2, power delivery, and Thunderbolt 3 transfer speeds up to 40 Gb/s.

Windows 10 Home

Start Menu
After its hiatus in Windows 8, the Start Menu has returned. Utilizing a combination of the traditional menu system and Windows 8's Live Tiles, the improved Start Menu gives you more information at a glance, showing notification information alongside your applications and other pinned items.
Cortana
Microsoft's digital personal assistant, Cortana, can answer your questions with information gleaned from both your device and the Internet at large. You can type or even talk with her, if your system has a microphone. Using her Notebook, Cortana keeps track of your needs and wants, and she learns over time to improve her information-gathering skills.
Microsoft Edge
After nearly 20 years, Microsoft has finally replaced its Internet Explorer web browser. With Microsoft Edge, users can write directly on web pages and share notes with friends and colleagues. It also improves the online reading experience by adding a distraction-free mode and read-it-later functionality. Edge also has built-in Cortana integration; you can have her help you find a restaurant, make a reservation, and pull up directions without leaving your browser.
Windows Store
For Windows 10, Microsoft has unified the Windows Store. Now, apps for PCs, tablets, and phones will all be accessible from one place. And with support for Universal Apps, one version of an app can work across all your compatible devices automatically.
Windows Continuum
Windows 10 was designed for a variety of screen sizes and input styles, and with its Continuum feature, it automatically adapts to fit your needs. A Windows 10 tablet on its own requires a touch-centric approach, but attaching a mouse and keyboard will shift everything to a more traditional interface. You can even attach an external monitor to your Windows 10 phone for a near-desktop experience. But it's not just the operating system; Windows Universal Apps take advantage of Continuum as well.
Xbox on Windows 10
Gaming is a big focus of Windows 10. Xbox integration allows for PC players to match up against Xbox One players on supported games, and if you have an Xbox One, you can even stream compatible titles to your PC. Native support for recording with the new Game DVR feature makes it easy to capture and share your gameplay. The new DirectX12 takes better advantage of multi-core processors, giving games a performance boost, even on older hardware. Windows 10 also features native support for virtual reality headsets, such as the Oculus Rift.

    Dell I7577-7722BLK reviews

15.6" Inspiron 15 7000 Series Gaming Notebook is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 27.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from My work horse I use this PC a lot for video creation. I have it connected via HDMI to a 32" HP Pavilion monitor most of the time. The monitor resolution is 2560x1440 which is the same resolution as my 27" iMac. The fans hardly kick in but I am in an air-conditionedoffice. This little laptop is a beast compared to my4-year-old iMac. I like the fact I can take this laptop with me whereverI go. Battery power only lasts a few hours when editing, however, it's perfect for creating media content in my opinion but you do need the external monitor for serious editing. I bought Dell because I know they have good tech support. I'm very happy with this purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super tool! Right size, one screw to remove back and install 2 16Gb RAM cards. Love the red backlit keyboard. Has only 3 USB ports and I bought a Bluetooth laser mouse to solve my needs for 4 inputs without using a hub. Computer seems stout. Like the power switch fingerprint scanner. Could use a larger SSD, had 1TB on my Samsung. Worked well the first day but had to access Dell support to resolve several issues. Dell updated Windows 10 and several drivers and everything is now working fine. The process took several hours. The Dell support was thorough but the audio connection was so poor, had to ask for several repeats. Sounded like a very narrow band of audio.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Overheating So I bought this laptop about 3 weeks ago, and the temperature of the laptop reached 95-100 degrees celsius when gaming. There is no way to adjust the fan either so bummer. I'm in the process of exchanging the laptop for a new one. Hopefully, the new one won't have overheating problems. The return policy is strict too, so I won't be getting my money back if the new laptop has a problem too, just exchanges for the same laptop. I'll be coming back to edit this review after receiving the laptop.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great high powered laptop plenty of cpu / gpu power, plenty of memory. Wish I had opted for the 256gb ssd version though. This one had 128gb but uses a 1tb non-ssd drive for what is normally stored on the primary drive, like download and documents folder. Very pleased.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Top laptop for the $ Great capability at a modest price. 128Gb SSD more than sufficient for software + 1Tb data drive for storage.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great in every aspect except for the screen I love this laptop, the build quality is great, with plenty of raw processing power and a beautiful finish, specially the keyboard panel. The two level keyboard backlight is very comfortable, and the fingerprint scanner integrated into the power button is a godsend (I'm used now to unlocking my phone using my fingerprints). The only negative I find in this laptop is the quality of the screen. Specifically, color reproduction, which is quite dull in comparison to every other screen I use daily. Brightness is fine, blacks look well, but colors look washed out. A shame considering everything else is top notch.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A workhorse...but heavy! I've been using this for editing 4k videos in Davinci Resolve and it's been working just fine. I use the 1TB hard drive for the video file storage and create optimized media on the SSD, which works well. It's very heavy, definitely not something you are going to carry very far, more moveable than portable. The only other downside is that it really never seems to work at top speed unless it is actually plugged in, even with the settings pushed all the way to performance. But, it gives me the flexibility to be where my family is when editing videos, which is what I bought it for.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good laptop for photo/video editing I bought this laptop for personal work and processing photos in Adobe Lightroom. It performs very well and came as advertised. $300 off, and I bought it. Games run smoothly without lagging and the sound is very clear! The design is very nice and it dissipates heat very well. I gave it 4/5 because the battery would retain its charge for 3 hours max. If you're looking for a modern gaming laptop, this is your bet!
