As with most things Arri, the build quality is superb and the functionality is top notch. Their proprietary designs, however, often make little sense. With this one, the rod openings are at least several centimeters (~1-2 inches) further front of the lens mount. This means any accessory mounted on the rods will also be that far from the mount. So, for example, if your lens gears are located within that first few centimeters/inches, your focus gears, whether on a manual or motor focus, will not have the clearance to engage your lens gears. This has been the case with most lenses I have had using this mount, including Cookes and some new high end Zeiss cine. It makes zero sense to have the rod openings that far proud of the lens mount. 15mm and 19mm. Buy another mounting system for your Arri, they exist.
