Increase the versatility of your built-in flash with the neon pink Soft Screen Diffuser from LumiQuest. This small white panel installs onto the name plate directly in front of the hot shoe area and diffuses the light coming from your pop-up flash. This allows it to soften harsh shadows and reduce the red-eye effect commonly associated with those types of lights. For transport, simply fold the diffuser flat to 4 x 4" and carry it in a bag or on your pocket. Included with the product are 1.125" touch fasteners for secure installation on cameras with smaller name plates.

do you need hot shoe for this?
It works on a hot shoe on my Nikon. I also use it on my Nikon SB-800 external flash by placing it over the light and holding it in place with rubberbands, no hot shoe needed.
