The product I got is 12 end to end, but 14.25 measured diagonally for the screen size. Therefore, it does not fit a 12.9 iPad and is useless to me. It'd cost more in shipping to return it than it's worth so I'm just going to eat the loss. Do not buy this for a 12.9 screen unless you enjoy disappointment.
This protective shell is a nice way to protect the ipad from overall scratches. However, it's important to note that you cannot use the protective shell with the Smart keyboard. The protective shell covers the magnetic portion of the ipad.
