I am using Lowpro photo sport hiking backpack, do you know if Propad is needed to secure the clip on the backpack strap or just use the clip is good enough.
Asked by: Philip
Depends on how wide your strap is. I have just the clip on a backpack rig and it works fine. I use the ProPad on a utility belt that I use in warmer weather when I don't want to carry a backpack. If the standard clip fits over the strap on your pack, you're good to go.

question

Can this fit on a Thinktank Steroid Speedbelt V2? I have a Camera clip V2 but need to get it onto my hips instead of shoulders
Asked by: Kevin V.
Do yourself a HUGE favor and buy the ThinkTank version instead. I am in the process of returning the Pro Design Pad right now and can only say that it is a really poorly thought out product. Sure it looks great and is well made but whoever designed this needs to be forced to actually use it as a punishment. If you are still uncertain, buy both and return the one you hate but be sure to save the Peak Design packing. :)See: https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/search?Ntt=CAMERA%20CLIP%20ADAPTER%20V3.0&N=0&InitialSearch=yes&sts=ma&Top+Nav-Search=

question

Any chance that this would work with a PD CapturePRO Camera Clip V2? Seems it could still be used to add padding behind a backpacking strap, no?
Asked by: Brian T.
it could work, but is much narrower, so is most ideal for the Capture v3
