These adapters are made wrong - to put the connectors in proper alignment to insert a 2.5" drive into a 3.5" bay in any good quality modern chassis, the mounting holes for the drive must be offset about 1/2" from center. These adapters have the holes centered so they will only work in ancient or cheap chassis with flexible cables for the drive bays rather than a proper sata backplane. Strongly recommend against. Find another brand that lines the drive up correctly.
I did not use it as intended, since my computer case attached from the bottom, so I hillbilly rigged it in place. Good product for the money.
