These waist straps are very handy to use when hiding lav mics. It makes it far easier than just clipping to the waist of pants or a belt. A little pricy, but do the job.

It's very nice in some circumstances to have someone strap this around themselves under their dress or shirt without having to worry about putting the transmitter on a belt that they might not have. I give only four stars because it's difficult to get my sennheiser G3 transmitter in there, a very tight fit despite it being the large pouch.

Does this item protect equipment at all from sweat/water? Does it have any sweat/water resistance features?

They don't mention any kind of moisture resistance, and the fact that they say it is 'breathable' material makes me think that it probably will not provide much protection. Why is the pouch size not specified within the product's specifications?

Although the dimensions of the pouch for the Remote Audio URSA Medium Waist Strap with Big Pouch are not provided by the manufacturer and are not listed with the specifications, the compatible transmitters that are listed appear to be the same as the compatible transmitters listed for the large Remote Audio URSA Pouch for Wireless Transmitters (B&H # REURSPCHLABE). The dimensions for the large pouch are 3.9 x 3.1" (990 x 780 mm). I expect the dimensions of the large pouch by itself to be the same as those of the pouch attached to the waist strap.

Sennheiser G4 is a compact, beltpack transmitter, a large transmitter will be something like a Lectrosonics 400 series, in comparison.

On the Remote Audio URSA Medium Waist Strap (Beige), the recommended pouch size to fit the Deity Theos DBTX Digital Wireless Bodypack Transmitter is the big pouch. The transmitter measures 3.5 x 2.6 x 0.7", and it will fit snugly inside the pouch of the Remote Audio URSA Medium Waist Strap with Big Pouch (Beige).
