The Replacement Foot from Wimberley is a black anodized 6061 aluminum foot with an Arca-type compatible double dovetail for accessories that can attach to the top as well as to the bottom of the foot. It is designed to replace the original lens foot for the AF-S NIKKOR 200-400mm f/4G ED VR I and II lens, the AF-S NIKKOR 300mm f/2.8G ED VR I and II lens, and the AF-S NIKKOR 500mm f/4E FL ED VR lens. The lightweight and durable lens foot has a low profile that provides a lower center of gravity and a better balance than the original foot supplied with the lens.
The lower profile of the foot reduces flex and vibrations transferred to the lens. Also, 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 sockets have been provided for tripod heads that do not have a compatible Arca-type clamp, and dual safety stops are included to prevent accidental sliding if a clamp is partially open.
