I wish was a touch longer, the 100-400 fits but the last third of an inch is where the neoprene ends and there is only the nilon closure
I purchased this pouch to protect my Nikkor Z 400mm f/4.5 VR S lens.... TL;DR it does not fit with the Nikon lens hood. The soft pouch appears to be made very well and would add a moderate amount of protection for the lens. I wouldn't trust this pouch as the lens's only protection during the rigors of travel, but combine it with a carry-on backpack and it should be perfect. Unfortunately for me, I could not put the lens in with the hood attached. Without the hood, the lens fits with plenty of room to spare. The lip of the Nikon hood is just too wide of a diameter to work with this pouch. Such a bummer, this pouch was perfect for protecting the lens in the bigger roll top pocket of my Tenba Fulton 16L backpack. I don't think I'll be able to find a pouch with a wide enough diameter for the lens hood that also fits in the backpack so I may have to bust out the old sewing machine and make my own.
