Leofoto LH-30 Reviews

Really nice reasonably priced ball head

I have been using Manrotto tripods and heads with their proprietary quick release plates for a number of years. With longer tele lenses I now prefer Arca Swiss type plates which let you change the center of balance by sliding the plate forward or back in the clamp. A reasonably priced ball head like this is perfect for switching over my tripods without costing too much. Well made and very solid feel. No complaints at all.

So far so good. 1 week of use

Description says tilts in 1 direction. Which - up or down? I see the "40" tilts in both directions.
Asked by: Dale
The Leofoto LH-30 Ball Head with Quick Release Plate does not have a dedicated “up” or “down” tilt direction like a video head. What the description means by “tilts in one direction” is that the base has a single drop notch (cutout). When the camera is aligned over that notch, the ball can be dropped into it, allowing a 90° tilt for portrait orientation only on one side.
