Best TV I've ever owned

Work of art, literally. In-laws purchased this on their stellar home remodel. I was immediately hooked. Fantastic 4K TV, doubles as a stunning picture frame that looks incredibly realistic with matting, etc. Super easy installation, love the low-profile (tight to the wall mount). Speakers are actually fantastic. The wife and I can't get over the sound quality coming out of this thing! And we are used to upgrades with soundbars, theater rooms, etc. All guests love it and most importantly, so do we!

Form and Feature are great, still some challenges

The frame picture selection and advance features are great. Two things would keep me from recommending it: 1) The installation is challenging due to a great screw design, but a head that strips as soon as one starts to tighten them. To move the TV will now require a complex changeover and new screws. Was impressed by the engineering of the brackets at first, but no longer. 2) The screen/glass is more reflective than expected. Need to keep the room very dark to not see reflection of lights. Unless the "picture frame" feature is a must have, opt for other models that will attach to the wall just as well. Sound is average, and one wouldn't put a sound bar below a picture frame, so options are limited to improve the issue.

Starting to have problems

Hi purchased a 65” Frame from B&H in late August 2017. No issues with B&H on the purchase or delivery. Initially everything worked fine and setup was easy. It is now Feb 2 2018 and I have a two problems. First let me say that I like the Frame concept and the quality of the display. However the first problem is with the white remote control. It can’t keep its Bluetooth connection with the TV, and nobody seems to know how to fix that problem. So I came up with a workaround and use a Harmony Remote instead. The new problem is that the Frame tv now randomly reboots itself. Sometimes infrequently and then multiple times in 5 or 10 minutes. I am starting to regret this purchase as the Frame does not seem to be a stable product or worth the price. Check the Samsung forums before you buy any Frame tv and you will find that these issues are becoming more numerous. Hope this helps.

Love it

This is a long overdue idea, but seems to have been well executed by Samsung. My wife has been against the idea of a television in our formal living room for quite some time. We had multiple times discussed some options to hide a television using various methods, but none of them ever came to fruition. Once she saw this TV though, it all came together. Very satisfied with picture, and sound quality, in TV mode, and am surprised that Art mode is as convincing as it is. Sure it's obvious that it's not a regular print in certain lighting, but it is good enough that it blends nicely, and doesn't stick out like a sore thumb, like a standard TV would amongst other framed pieces. Overall we're very happy with it so far.

Picture and sound are above average, but should be stunning at this price point. Art mode not as good as advertised, but nice enough. Art mode settings are apparently controlled via the Smart View app which requires the TV to be connected to wifi, does not work with a hard wired network connection. The wifi will never connect on my TV even though other devices in the same location connect without any problems. Displaying personal photos also requires smart view app. Two of the main features prompting purchase do not work without wifi, thus my disappointment.

Great product for its purpose

My wife wanted a TV that does not proclaim that it is a TV when looked upon. We finally decided to pull the trigger and my wife is very pleased with it. Upon a week of viewing, couple thoughts. Pros: - Pictures are beautiful, standing out. I watched YouTube videos though this TV. The quality difference from usual method (Macbook Pro, iMac) was absolutely stunning. It is like images are popping up and alive. - It obviously isn't a real frame but it really does not look like a traditional TV. Two cords (power cord and optical media cable) can be hidden pretty well. - Sound quality itself is pretty good. Thought about buying a separate speaker but I think I can live without it for sake of minimalism) - I have an external HDD connected to my router which holds pictures. I can display pictures straight to TV with remote or smartphone. Now if it can be randomized and/or automated that would be great. Cons: - Of course with given price, I could have purchased one that had better picture quality (OLEDs or QLEDs from Samsung). When compared side by side I did see that O/QLEDs seem better from local shop. However, contents of video these TVs were displaying were also different which might not give a fair comparison. (However, as noted earlier about YouTube videos, it does look pretty sleek from my house.) - Having some issue with connecting my Bose QC35 via Bluetooth. TV can detect it but ran into error trying to connect to. I saw couple forums regarding this specific issue upon brief search. Have not figured out solution for my case yet. So these are my primary thoughts after using it for a week. I can't wait to invite friends and families to see their reaction. My wife and I plan to put some actual frames with pictures around wall in similar style as part of living room decoration. In addition, I've got a happy wife for now so I am also relieved :).
