I recently installed a new AT85EP phono cartridge in my turntable. It replaced an old Shure cartridge that was many years old. My new cartridge sounds fantastic. I love it. Much better high and low end than what I had. It was very easy to install, just the one screw and it was done.

Based on internet research, the Realistic Lab 1600 turntable has a P mount cartridge connection. This Audio Technica cartridge should be compatible the with turntable.
