Add up to 2TB of storage capacity to a notebook or desktop computer with the MX500 2.5" Internal SSD from Crucial. This solid-state drive fits in the system's 2.5" drive bay and comes with a 7 to 9.5mm spacer for compatibility with bigger bays. Crucial has equipped the MX500 SSD with a SATA Interface, Silicon Motion SM2258 controller, and Micron 3D TLC NAND Flash technology to deliver up to 560 MB/s sequential reads and 510 MB/s sequential writes. For securing sensitive data, AES-256 encryption and Opal 2.0 are available. Additionally, included along with the drive is Acronis True Image software, which provides an easy-to-use backup solution.

    Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great, but can't use with my Shogun Bought this to use with my Atomos Shogun because of the size and speed. �Didn't work so I contacted Atomos and they said this drive do not have the same firmware that Shogun needs to run it. So while disappointed in the that the drive runs great in my computer and allows me to edit multiple streams of 4k quickly while the card is inserted into a PCI drive port.

    Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fast Definitely feel the speed increase even though my old machine 2010 mbp can't take advantage of all its potential. � Wish I had bought this sooner. � App launch is much faster (so is boot speed, but I almost never reboot my Mac anyways) � �FCP has become useable- it was pathetic with my old drive. � � The whole system has become a whole lot more snappy.
