IK Multimedia Syntronik 99 is a virtual synthesizer plug-in with a library that includes the FM sounds from the Yamaha SY99, an instrument manufactured in the early 90s and which combines AWM sample-based synthesis with DX-style FM synthesis. Heard on records by Vangelis, Chick Corea, Brian Eno, Toto, and more, the SY99 offers sixteen voices of polyphony with 4 elements per voice. It features a digital filter and a powerful effects processor, resulting in a polished and sophisticated tonality, with evolving pads, and the familiar FM electric pianos, bells, mallets, and basses.
The library comes with 6500 samples and 155 instruments, and is powered by the included Syntronik Free player. To recreate the unmistakable sound of the original hardware, the software employs the company's DRIFT technology, which emulates the way real circuits behave over time. Syntronik Free player comes with true 4-part capability to layer rich sounds with multis and splits, four dynamic arpeggiators for complex rhythmic textures, and 38 high-quality effects derived from AmpliTube and T-RackS.
Syntronik 99 is compatible with Mac and Windows platforms, and works in VST2, VST3, AU, and AAX formats running at 64-bit.
