This B&H kit consists of two Watson Pro Cine System High-Load V-Mount Batteries and a Watson Pro Dual Position Li-Ion Battery Charger. This kit has been assembled to provide you with two 99Wh batteries and a two-bay charger. Each battery features a capacity of 99Wh and supports 15-amp maximum draw, which allows it to support cinema cameras rigged with accessories, large LED lights, or other gear that uses a V-Mount.

SMBUS communication is enabled through the V-Mount connection and enables RED DSMC2 cameras to display detailed battery info in the viewfinder. The charger supports charging two 6.6Ah batteries simultaneously and larger capacity batteries sequentially. Additionally, when the charger is plugged into a power supply you can use it as a camera power supply and a charger at the same time.

Watson Pro Cine High-Load V-Mount Battery

Power your cinema camera or other power-hungry professional equipment with this Watson Pro Cine V-Mount Battery. While sporting a capacity of 99Wh, this cine battery remains relatively compact. Its robust ABS housing fits on smaller cinema cameras without disrupting the overall design aesthetic or getting in the way of top-mounted accessories. The 15-amp maximum load on this Cine battery can support cinema cameras rigged up with accessories, large LED lights, external recorders, or other on-set essential gear that uses a V-mount. SMBUS communication is enabled through the V-mount connection. Accurate battery runtime remaining information can be displayed in the viewfinder of compatible cameras. Use the D-tap and USB port to power accessories and charge mobile devices as well. Intelligent circuitry protection is built-in to prevent overloading, overheating, and short-circuits.

Compact Design
Smaller cinema cameras benefit from the compact design of the Watson Pro Cine batteries. The shorter overall design sits in line with compact camera bodies, providing lower clearance for handles and complex rigs.
Accessory Ports
Not only will the Watson Pro Cine battery power your camera or light, accessories can be powered simultaneously using the built-in D-tap and USB ports. The D-tap can output 12V at up to 10 amps for lens control systems, on-camera lighting, or other accessory. The USB port outputs 5V at 1 amp and can be useful to charge on-set electronics or mobile devices.
LED Status Indicator
Press the check button on the rear and LEDs will illuminate to indicate the current battery capacity.
Intelligent Circuitry
Intelligent circuitry constantly analyzes battery load and temperature, and will shut down to prevent damage from overloading, overheating, and short-circuiting.

Watson Dual-Position Compact V-Mount Charger

The Watson Pro Dual-Position V-Mount Battery Charger ensures you have fully charged V-mount lithium-ion batteries for your studio or on-location lighting, cameras, recorders, and monitors. With no need for special equipment, simply plug the charger into any available power outlet. It can simultaneously charge two V-mount batteries, delivering 16.8V at 3A.

Constructed from sturdy solid metal, it's durable for transportation, and heat dissipation louvers prevent delays from automatic overheating shutdowns. Its stable base allows for standalone use, while rubber feet prevent surface damage. Clear indicator LEDs signal when batteries are fully charged. Moreover, the charger incorporates built-in protections against overvoltage, overcurrent, short-circuits, and temperature fluctuations, safeguarding your valuable V-mount batteries from potential damage due to mishaps, power surges, or spikes.

V-Mount Battery Charging
You'll never be without V-mount power through a long day's shoot when you bring the Watson Pro C-VM-2C with you. Just plug it into an available outlet, and it quietly recharges any two V-mount batteries while you work.
Dual Output
The charger outputs 16.8V, 3A on each channel, so adding a second battery to the charger won't slow down the charging process. And unlike sequential chargers, both batteries receive the same current and recharge at the same rate.
Metal Construction
The metal construction, along with the built-in heat louvers, effectively dissipates heat and prevents overheating that can cause charging delays. Metal construction is also good for travel because it will withstand the bumps and dings that come along with transporting your gear to a location.
Stable Base
Just plug it in, set it down on a flat surface, and forget about it. The wide base is stable even when only one battery is attached. It comes with rubber feet in case you don't want to scratch or damage a nice table or desktop.
Indicator LEDs
The charger is designed for simplicity, right down to the indicator LEDs. There's one LED per channel, and it changes color when the battery is fully charged and ready to go.
Protective Circuitry
Built-in circuitry protects against overcurrent, overvoltage, overheating, and short circuits. Your valuable batteries will not be damaged during charging, even if you're hit with a power surge or spike.
Carry Handle
If you need to move the charger out of the way or to a better place without interfering with the charging, you can use the convenient handle to pick it up and move it.

These are the best batteries we've found. We use two in series on Alexa Classics and one has lasted for 6 years and over two hundred charging cycles.

Don’t last long with my fotodiox 18 in. flapjacks

These are compact and easy to grip. Maybe if you’re powering a camera these would be fine but not lighting. I barely got 35 minutes running at 100% when the battery level meter hit 2. We’ve found when they reach 2 you better replace them soon. We’ve used them on our Genaray 18 Moon which requires 2 batteries maybe last 45 minutes. These were fully charged by the way with the Watson designated charging base.

Can the USB port be used to power an LED light?
Asked by: James
It will depend on the light. The USB port outputs 5V at 1 amp. It should charge most devices (albeit slowly), but depending on the power consumption of the light, it might not be enough to fully power it.
