Can this tape be used on non-organic clothing material without damage? Specifically something like a gray sport raincoat so it could be seen better on camera? (Smooth breathable fabric) Thank you.

Yes, I believe so. I wouldn't put it on something really delicate and sheer, but it's pretty low tack and no residue, so for 99% of materials, it'll be fine. As always, test on a small discreet area first before applying a whole bunch of it. I've stuck it on lightweight running shorts with no issues just ripping it off. If there's a lot of rubbing, I wouldn't expect it to stay on for very long as it will roll and ball up quite easily.
