    SanDisk Extreme 600 reviews

500GB Extreme Portable USB 3.1 Type-C External SSD is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 13.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Catastrophic failure <1 month It worked great for about 3 weeks. I ran Arch on it to have a portable & bootable SSD. I was looking at the screen when the SSD stopped working; it crashed suddenly and without reason, and has never recovered. I believe the actual USB-C interface connection has failed, I've tried several methods to get Windows, Linux, & Mac to even recognize this SSD, but no dice. B&H won't respond to my emails to their customer service account, so 1 star for B&H on this too. Disappointment all around.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great investment! I finally invested my time to do some research and found that this just released this year at CES or something kinda figured it be the best solution for the price comparing it with a Samsung t5. Great read and write speeds. Just blazing fast.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Highly recommended -- no moving parts to fail! When at one of many computer store workshops that we attended, it was recommended that our camping lifestyle recommends that we get an external hard drive with no moving parts. This fits the bill! Grateful that the price of these SSD's are coming down. Our WD Passport Ext. H.D. failed after 1.5 years. To recover our media, a place in Calif. charges $700 to $900 to recover data! We learned the hard way, as we did not have iCloud at the time of our ext. h. drive's failure. Better to use a SSD than an ext. h. d. with moving parts.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent external device Very light weight. Great speed for your USB 3 ports. Not sluggish on USB 2 ports, either. Does not get very warm, even under sustained transfers. B&H had it in stock and 2-day delivery was excellent.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fast, compact and practical Blazing fast and compact, my only gripe is the cord. It is not flexible and sticks too far out. Amazing how the low tech stuff drags on what can be high tech miracles.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Never thought it would be this simple and this fast. This is a tiny unit that records blazingly fast, quick access to your files, produces no heat (no moving parts) and is reasonably priced. Might buy an internal one, too, when the price drops. Am on social security and don't have a lot of mullah! I recorded tons of audio on it and hope to start DJing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Pleased With Speed Of This External Hard Drive!! Great portable hard drive. Very fast and reliable. Had it for a little over a month now and it is easy to operate. Have all my utility programs on it that I use to work on customer computers and laptops. First thing I did was remove any SanDisk utilities/programs that were on it. I highly recommend to this drive others looking for a lightening fast and reliable external/portable hard drive.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Sturdy, compact and light This is a very nice unit. Very small and light, much smaller and lighter than I expected. SO easy to throw in my backpack. The only strange thing about my unit was that the logo was partially worn off when I received it, but that doesn't affect how it performs. I highly recommend this SSD for anyone who needs fast, light weight storage.
