The ESI MoCo Passive Monitor Controller not only attenuates volume, but provides input and output switching to different monitor sets. Two sets of inputs can be sent to either of two sets of outputs (no balanced to unbalanced conversion). This way, your audio interface's balanced output can be sent to one of two sets of monitors, or select a secondary audio source to be output via either of those monitors. The front panel contains the large central knob, which drives a high-quality volume potentiometer, input and output selection buttons, plus an L/R switch and mono mixdown buttons.

ESI MOCO Reviews
Problem with Left Output Channel
I liked the quietness, no distortion. I liked the design but I had to put a bigger marker (white adhesive) on the control knob to see where the volume indicator was -- it's a tiny red line which is very hard to see. But I had the same problem as other reviewers -- the left output channel failed even while the unit was kept stable in ideal conditions. See review by Stefan for the same report.
Love it and B&H Photo!
I've had this in my shopping cart for weeks and finally decided to buy it. I live in Canada and you can't get these here. I didn't want the Mackie Big Knob products because of the not so steller reviews concerning noise. I needed a controller to switch back and forth between my Eris monitors and my DT 770 Pro 250 ohms powered by a Monoprice headphone amp. It is flawless and very transparent no noise or added color from what I can tell. The knob is smooth and box doesn't feel cheap at all. I was a little hesistant to order out of country, but I chose the option that prepays all the duties and taxes and I got it via ups in about 4 days. Very fast! Highly recommend.. Just make sure you pre- plan to know what type of cables you might need depending on your setup.
